Ad Melkert, who has followed iXora with great interest from the very beginning and was among the first to invest in our company through the STAK structure, has agreed to support us in our next growth phase. He brings extensive experience and a broad network in public policy and politics.
Ad has held key leadership roles in both national and international arenas. He served as Minister of Social Affairs and Employment, Member of Parliament, parliamentary group leader, and party leader of the Dutch Labour Party (PvdA).
After a 16-year political career in The Hague, he went on to represent the Netherlands at the World Bank, served as UN Under-Secretary-General at the Development Programme (UNDP), and acted as UN Special Representative for Iraq.
Back in the Netherlands, he served two terms as a State Councillor at the Council of State. Today, he is Chairman of the Dutch Hospital Association and holds several supervisory board positions in housing, elderly care, and at PostNL.

Over the past decade, Ad has also been active as an advisor and investor in policy and a variety of start-ups focused on digital infrastructure, data centers, and cybersecurity.
As society undergoes a rapid and energy-intensive digital transformation, our energy-efficient immersion cooling technology can play a critical role. Not only does it significantly reduce energy usage, but the residual heat can be reused more effectively than the warm air produced by traditional cooling methods.
We provide governments, businesses, and institutions with the knowledge and technology to achieve substantial energy savings in data storage. This is an urgent priority as data center capacity continues to grow exponentially.
Ad’s involvement will enhance our ability to engage with policymakers, shape forward-looking regulation, and help establish new standards for energy efficiency in data centers. We also aim to support public institutions in making their data operations more sustainable through immersion cooling.
